You can travel to Big Island Canoe which houses historic places of worship (”heiaus”), drive along Ali’i Drive to parellel the waterfront, seek out Hulihe’e Palace or explore the landmark Mokuaikaua Church which is across the street from the palace.
Important to note while planning your tour, the Ironman Triathalon takes place every October in Kona. Could be a fun and free addition to your travel itinerary.
